Our Origin Story
Monsoon PCs began as a business partnership between two lifelong friends, David and Waylon.
Waylon had been experiencing issues with his prebuilt gaming PC he’d bought on Newegg. Frequent BSODs (blue screens of death) with no obvious cause. He’d gone to a prominent PC shop in Phoenix to get it fixed. They charged him $250, reinstalled Windows, but ultimately couldn’t fix the issue.
He finally mentioned the ordeal to David, who he knew built and fixed PCs for friends and family. After figuratively slapping Waylon upside the head for not coming to him first, David quickly figured out the issue was that his RAM wasn’t stable with XMP enabled. This was solved by increasing the voltage of the RAM a tiny bit.
Elated that he could get back to trash talking on the rift, Waylon just had one question: why had David never thought to more broadly share and reasonably charge for his PC expertise? Because Waylon had a solid business idea…
And so the duo started Monsoon PCs, with David covering customers’ technical needs and Waylon using his extensive experience in customer service to handle the rest – and that’s essentially how the business is run to this day!
About David
I’ve been building PCs since 2003, when my family’s PC couldn’t handle the new real-time-strategy game, Command & Conquer: Generals. I discovered that our system couldn’t even be upgraded to run the game due to its outdated motherboard lacking a “modern” AGP graphics slot.
Back then, I was only in 6th grade, but I slowly saved up money and bought discounted/used parts locally. With patience and some trial-and-error, I managed to assemble my first gaming PC on a tight budget. The experience was both rewarding and educational, and I’ve been hooked ever since.
Over the years, I’ve helped numerous friends and family members diagnose, repair, and upgrade their PCs. I’ve never hesitated to offer recommendations for new systems, often helping people find the perfect laptop within their budget. But building custom PCs from scratch has always been my true passion.
Nowadays, my “day job” involves project managing for Jack & Bean, a local Chandler-based marketing agency that I’m part-owner of. We specialize in web design, SEO, and content marketing, and I love helping our clients grow their businesses through our services. And thanks to Waylon’s vision and our shared entrepreneurial spirit, I now extend my PC expertise to others through Monsoon PCs during my free time.
Outside of PC tech, I enjoy recreational sports, road course racing/instructing (chiefly with NASA AZ), Formula 1, roller coasters, drone photography, and traveling with my wife.
Oh, and I’m very close with my toy poodle and office manager Jovie, who you’ll meet if you ever stop by for PC service or a purchase.

As a proud Arizona native, I bring a wealth of experience and a deep passion for technology to Monsoon PCs. With over 15 years in customer experience leadership, I am a seasoned Customer Success Guru with expertise in Technical Support, Branding, E-commerce, Advertising, and strategic call center operations. My mastery in various SaaS products has equipped me with the skills to navigate the ever-evolving tech landscape.
Throughout my extensive career in the tech industry, I have excelled in both Sales and Customer Service dynamics. I have consistently been a top performer, often ranking in the top 5 percentile, demonstrating my dedication to achieving exceptional results.
My philosophy centers on a white-glove approach to customer relationships. I firmly believe that our customers deserve an outstanding experience, one that offers them comfort and assurance. I am committed to understanding and valuing each customer, tailoring our services to meet their unique needs and consistently delivering the pinnacle of service excellence.
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me gaming on my custom-built PC, skateboarding around town, playing my guitar, or enjoying a game of poker. These hobbies keep me creative and driven, both in life and at work. I’m passionate about making sure our customers have the best experience possible.
