Picking my parts was so easy. The custom build looks phenomenal, runs perfect out of the box (minus initializing the second SSD, a very minimal software setup), and shipped in less than a week! With Windows 11 sounding like it could be horrible to install. I figured I would leave it up to the professionals. I found these great local guys in Chandler Arizona at Monsoon PCS. They did a fantastic job in one day. Got me back up and running and racing again in no time at all. Handled the Steam account, and M.2 hd file transfers with no issues. Everything was there when I turned it on. Big thanks guys. Well done!!

Monsoon PCs was super helpful in getting my pre-built pc upgraded! I had initially wanted to swap cases and try and keep some of the proprietary parts like the motherboard but was having trouble doing it on my own. After David took a look, swapped it over and tested it, he let me know it wasn't up to his standards and had a few workarounds that were functional but rather janky.
I appreciate his commitment to the build itself and how reasonable he was in getting me a new motherboard etc to make sure this pc is one that could last me well into the future with a good upgrade path open. Waylon is great at handling logistics, and you can tell David has a huge passion for working on pcs which is always nice to see!

It's been years since I last built a custom rig, and so this time I just wanted to go to the pros. David at Monsoon worked with me to put together a machine that met my budget and my specs (I wanted a small form factor with white components throughout). I unfortunately drew the short straw on shipping, and upon arrival, the machine would not boot — but Monsoon refunded my shipping and found a local repair shop to test and correct the issue, all at no extra cost to me. Their customer service was above and beyond, and I would recommend them without hesitation.

Received my computer a few days ago and the quality is excellent, they thoroughly tested and vetted the system before shipping it out to ensure it was in working order along with all appropriate bios and driver updates, fan curves profiles, and temperature parameters. Arrived with proper shipping protection and on time, I will absolutely be using them again for my next pc down the road!

Great experience overall in ordering a PC, they had a lot of good info in setting up the build, and again when I saw them build it on the stream, the computer was packaged super safe and worked out of the box. Been using it for months now and have had no issues.

Had a motherboard issue, gave my PC to Monsoons at 6pm and they were able to do a same day turn around to replace and fix. They had the parts I needed on hand and very reasonable pricing. Great communication made it a great experience.
Great experience from start to finish. They helped me decide which PC parts would be best for my needs, got it built, and shipped out to Canada without any issues. They had accidentally sent me the PC with 32GB of RAM instead of 64GB, but were quick to pay for the needed 64GB of RAM and send a free return label for the 32GB sticks I received. The other minor issue is that the USB port on the front of the PC wasn't working, but this was a very easy fix. Other than that, David was super helpful and very willing to help with any issue the PC was facing. The PC has amazing cable management, is super quiet, and runs smoothly. I would 100% buy from Monsoon PCs again, and highly recommend them if you want a custom-built PC.

I had a great experience with a small form factor Fractal Ridge custom gaming PC from Monsoon PCs. David and Waylon were extremely professional, communicative, and helpful in talking me through the options for the build. David kept in touch with me throughout the project with timely updates on the building and shipment progress. Upon arrival, the PC itself looked like a work of art, or at least a highly well-executed work of engineering (see attached photos). In the end, although I was unable to keep the PC due to heat constraints in my particular setup, this was definitely the best experience I've ever had with ordering a new PC, and I can easily recommend Monsoon PCs to anyone in the future who is looking for a custom build.

Overall they were fantastic. I was having issues fixing my pc for a week and they were able to diagnose it in two days. Additionally they will make certain that your pc is optimized before shipping it. In my case I wanted an ITX small form factor so they included two 80mm fans in the build without charging me. Going forward I will solely be utilizing Monsoon PC for all of my refreshes.

Ordered a PC through Monsoon, David reached out and asked about the GPU as I had chosen to go with none. I mentioned the card I was going to put in found it wouldn’t fit. His communication was excellent and while we had to cancel the purchase he made every effort to make it work within my budget and options. This may be a bit lengthy so a TL;DR: Customer service is absolutely incredible, and my machine is better than I imagined it would be. I'm a video editor, gamer, and part time streamer, so I needed a machine that could edit 4k seamlessly, and stream while running multiple applications at once with low dB levels. Very delighted with my repair experience. They were quick to respond to my service query. Easy drop-off for repair. Quick diagnosis. They took care of procuring the part from supplier and fixed the laptop as soon as the part was received. Reasonable pricing as well. Highly recommend the PC / laptop service.
Working with the team was great - very professional and quick, my build was completed the next day. They helped me troubleshoot one very minor problem from shipping (just had to push the gpu power back in). The inside is cable managed very well and the performance is exactly what I was hoping for. I recently sought assistance from Monsoon PCs due to persistent lag, freezing, and overheating issues with my 9-year-old gaming PC. Initially, I hoped that replacing the liquid cooling fan that had died would resolve the problem, but unfortunately, that was not the case.
David promptly replaced my liquid cooling system the same night I reached out and even generously provided additional fans to improve airflow. Despite this, taking it home thinking that would fix it I soon realized that the issues extended beyond overheating, and so I reached back out to them.
David swiftly took back the computer for a thorough diagnosis. He provided a test drive, which allowed him to identify the root causes of the lag and freezing. David's exceptional customer care and dedication were evident throughout the process. He had diagnosed my issue, installed a new drive, and set up my computer with Windows. Since then, I have experienced no further issues, and my computer now runs faster than ever, thanks to the upgraded drive and cooling system.

David promptly replaced my liquid cooling system the same night I reached out and even generously provided additional fans to improve airflow. Despite this, taking it home thinking that would fix it I soon realized that the issues extended beyond overheating, and so I reached back out to them.
David swiftly took back the computer for a thorough diagnosis. He provided a test drive, which allowed him to identify the root causes of the lag and freezing. David's exceptional customer care and dedication were evident throughout the process. He had diagnosed my issue, installed a new drive, and set up my computer with Windows. Since then, I have experienced no further issues, and my computer now runs faster than ever, thanks to the upgraded drive and cooling system.

I encountered some issues with my first PC build after transitioning from a six-year-old MSI laptop. Fortunately, David helped me out; within a few hours of dropping off my PC, he had it fully built and running smoothly. I can’t recommend his services highly enough. While searching for a Ryzen 7800X3D, which is incredibly difficult to find at the moment, I came across this store and noticed they had it both stocked and listed at MSRP. I rushed through the process of ordering one while elated, and distracted by other things. A couple of minutes afterwards I realized that at no point had shipping been brought up. Panicking, I immediately tried to contact them and cancel my order.

Getting back to me within minutes, when a lot of other places would have left me to anxiously stew for days, it turns out the listing for the 7800X3D was not even supposed to be up. But not only were they willing to sell me one, they would ship it to me as well for the usual standard fee you'd find anywhere else, despite the very unusual circumstances. The chip arrived in perfect condition just a couple days later and is now in place of pride inside my newly built PC.

The guys here are amazing computer specialists! David had my PC in and out and all fixed up in less than a day. And he had a lot of PCs he was working on that day. They don’t try and sell you anything you don’t need, and I am going back to them to have them build my new pc at the 1st of the year. David updated my laptop with a faster boot drive saving me from having to purchase a new laptop. He was quick in diagnosing the issue and very fair on the cost of the upgrade. Would definitely use his services again with any computer issues or when purchasing a new one!
The attention to detail and follow up can’t be beat. They had multiple opportunities where they could have upsold me on a new PC but instead dedicated themselves to fixing the issue because they knew it could be solved. Even after the issue was resolved they continually checked in to make sure things were running smoothly. I’ll be sure to use them in the future when I eventually do need a new PC and am looking forward to all of the custom options they have. The cute puppy assistant is also a huge plus, she was very helpful!
Needed a computer quickly due to a cyberpower pc psu going out on me. They were able to meet up within an hour and had extremely fair rates and models on hand. Will use them again for all my computer needs.
Amazing service, both times I went he offered me free things, he moved over all my data from a hard drive to a SSD for completely free, and also gave me a free computer case. Gave knowledge on what I should upgrade in my current build, and gave a cheap price for diagnostics + building. Very nice experience
Edit: PC is running now, everything is put together. Helped me install BIOS updates and showed me how to transfer data between two drives. Runs everything I wanted with only a RX 580 like Rust, Siege, CS2 and even VR games. (Most games can run medium-high) He has very good PC knowledge, and told me everything I needed to know for the future.

Bought this computer couple months ago, with the intentions of using it for sim racing. (I know nothing about computers) I spoke with David and he walked me through it to make sure it was a good fit! The computer has been running well, the build is extremely clean and the customer service is top top notch. I would highly recommend giving them a call if they don’t have something that does work for you they can sure build it no problem. David’s knowledge is extremely Helpful and they won’t oversell you.

I stumbled across this site, I filled out a request on a desktop and I tried out the affirm pay, I quit out of it and about 2 hours later I got a call from one of the owners to follow up with me. He then asked me about the budget I was looking for. He then talked to David, he reached out to me as well. I went over to the house to check out the computer. He is very knowledgeable, he made buying a desktop from a smaller shop easy and in my opinion better than buying from a bigger company. Also got follow up texts from both of them to see how it was treating me.
Our Origin Story
Monsoon PCs began as a business partnership between two lifelong friends, David and Waylon.
Waylon had been experiencing issues with his prebuilt gaming PC he’d bought on Newegg. Frequent BSODs (blue screens of death) with no obvious cause. He’d gone to a prominent PC shop in Phoenix to get it fixed. They charged him $250, reinstalled Windows, but ultimately couldn’t fix the issue.
He finally mentioned the ordeal to David, who he knew built and fixed PCs for friends and family. After figuratively slapping Waylon upside the head for not coming to him first, David quickly figured out the issue was that his RAM wasn’t stable with XMP enabled. This was solved by increasing the voltage of the RAM a tiny bit.
Elated that he could get back to trash talking on the rift, Waylon just had one question: why had David never thought to more broadly share and reasonably charge for his PC expertise? Because Waylon had a solid business idea…
And so the duo started Monsoon PCs, with David covering customers’ technical needs and Waylon using his extensive experience in customer service to handle the rest – and that’s essentially how the business is run to this day!
About David
I’ve been building PCs since 2003, when my family’s PC couldn’t handle the new real-time-strategy game, Command & Conquer: Generals. I discovered that our system couldn’t even be upgraded to run the game due to its outdated motherboard lacking a “modern” AGP graphics slot.
Back then, I was only in 6th grade, but I slowly saved up money and bought discounted/used parts locally. With patience and some trial-and-error, I managed to assemble my first gaming PC on a tight budget. The experience was both rewarding and educational, and I’ve been hooked ever since.
Over the years, I’ve helped numerous friends and family members diagnose, repair, and upgrade their PCs. I’ve never hesitated to offer recommendations for new systems, often helping people find the perfect laptop within their budget. But building custom PCs from scratch has always been my true passion.
Nowadays, my “day job” involves project managing for Jack & Bean, a local Chandler-based marketing agency that I’m part-owner of. We specialize in web design, SEO, and content marketing, and I love helping our clients grow their businesses through our services. And thanks to Waylon’s vision and our shared entrepreneurial spirit, I now extend my PC expertise to others through Monsoon PCs during my free time.
Outside of PC tech, I enjoy recreational sports, road course racing/instructing (chiefly with NASA AZ), Formula 1, roller coasters, drone photography, and traveling with my wife.
Oh, and I’m very close with my toy poodle and office manager Jovie, who you’ll meet if you ever stop by for PC service or a purchase.
